Henk van Houtum will present his newest book “Free the Map. From Atlas to Hermes. A new carthography on boders and migration” where the author reveals how conventional world maps shape our perception by often distorting or oversimplifying borders, nation-states, and migration. Instead, the book advocates for a “liberated” cartography that highlights connections between people, movements, and global interdependencies.
