Members of the KonKoop network from Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE), Michael Spies and Nafisa Mirzojamshedzoda, organized a participatory workshop focused on the systemic analysis of resource management in the context of environmental change. The event specifically addressed water-related challenges in the Konibodom and Jabbor Rasulov districts of the Sughd region, Tajikistan.
Over three days, local stakeholders — including farmers, representatives from water management institutions, water user associations (WUAs), and the regional partner institution Sarob—engaged in discussions to assess the vulnerabilities of water users caused by shifting water availability and environmental conditions. The workshop provided a platform for stakeholders to organize, formalize, and share knowledge on these pressing issues.
In the final phase, participants worked collaboratively to develop strategic approaches aimed at fostering sustainable water resource management in the region.
